From CCTV To IP Cams

It has been decades since the first IP cam surveillance software came into existence. But still CCTV cams have taken most of the place though IP cameras are much cheaper and can be operated easily. The basic reason being lack of awareness regarding its use and about the technology shift from CCTV to IP surveillance cameras.

The most advanced CCTV systems take use of DVR’s and hard disk to store data. Shifting from CCTV to IP only requires adding a network adapter with a unique internet protocol known as IP, one or more processors in addition to existing CCTV cams and some amount of money. The IP address enables it to be assessable from any part of the world and the other additional hardware and software arrangement provides extra flexibility to operations.

Another disadvantage of CCTV taken down by IP cams surveillance software is the use of cable. The cable is replaced with the use of WAN in IP cams. Use of WAN requires the use of internet which is quite prominent these days. The IP cam surveillance software  is best put in use for surveillance for its ability to cover a large part of area under observation.
